First-choice Eleven

The goalkeeper Was rarely tested to perform during the opening 45 before tested by Arbër Hoxha’s curled attempt. His sliding intervention against Qazim Laci demonstrated sharp game intelligence. 6/10

The debutant Tested by Albania’s main danger in their forward. Operated more centrally to begin with later drifted wider once Saka entered the fray. Seven

The defender Pushed forward on the ball, something he's known for before. Sometimes lacked urgency in possession with the approach discontinued after the break. 6/10

The tall defender A constant threat on corners and free-kicks, per usual, perhaps is another option for his teammate in defense instead of his partner. One wayward ball later in the match almost led to the first goal for Albania. 6

The young full-back A further confident showing from the youngster after his debut against another side. A teammate failed to make full advantage of a clever touch behind the Albania defence. His position is his to lose so soon. 7

Adam Wharton A debut start with the national team. Somewhat loose in possession though his inswinging set-pieces caused problems. An effective game manager for the boss to call upon against defensive opponents. Cautioned after a reckless challenge. 6

The midfielder Set-pieces from dead balls and free kicks caused problems. Enjoyed freedom to move on the left yet found himself in an offside position as the pass came in front of goal. Granted a merited rest around the 60-minute point. 6

Jude Bellingham Played in a high role down the right and put in the hard yards. Demonstrated flashes of quality but scuffed an effort high. Replaced in the closing stages by Rogers, his rival, after being booked. 7/10

The winger Had England’s top opening of the first half, his strike excellently kept out by Thomas Strakosha. With a teammate staying deep, he had to provide width on the right but his crosses into the box were inconsistent. Taken off with 15 to go. 6/10

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes at international level. His first a trademark opportunist's goal while the second an excellent header having drifted away away from the opposition. At 32, he’s only getting better and the side stand a real opportunity next summer with him leading the line. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to make an impact from the left. Had a presentable chance following a pass from a teammate yet the keeper kept it out. Rashford produced a bigger an impact when substituted. 5
